By the end of the 3rd quarter, Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi had thrown five interceptions and the Hawkeyes were tailing the Hoosiers 24-14, and all hope seemed to be lost. But Iowa rallied with four unanswered TDs in the 4th quarter to hold on to their perfect record (9-0).

The Iowa Hawkeyes won their 8th game of the 2009 season by beating Michigan State. That gave the Hawkeyes four victories by 3 points or fewer. That must be appealing to the poll voters and the BCS computers. Ricky Stanzi's scoring pass to Marvin McNutt at the final gun pulled it out for Iowa.
